Hi my name is Nala! Nice to meet you!

I was rescued by Animal Allies of Texas from a shelter after being found in a farmer’s field playing with his cows. I am an energetic young Husky who loves long walks, to run and play, and be with my foster mom all the time, even if that means taking a nap. My foster family consists of my foster mom, grandparents, 3 dogs, and a cat. My foster mom and the dog siblings are my favorite. There is another husky, but he is older and does not have as much energy as me. I’m not sure what the other two are, but one looks like a husky but he’s small and shy (nothing like me), and the other is a tiny fluffy fur ball who I thought was a toy at first but then she moved! Now we are best friends and go everywhere together. But I don’t like that cat, he’s shady and tries to steal my foster mom’s attention.

We go run and play outside, she takes me for walks every day to help me burn off my energy and not be destructive in the house. When I am too hyper in the house, they get out the “no no” bottle and I get sprayed with water which makes me very sad. I get along with my siblings most of the time unless they try to come near my food, I do not like to share my food, so now I am fed separately, and we get along much better. I am getting used to my crate, I still prefer to be with my family and cry when they must put me in my crate to leave. At night I do better though, knowing they are not leaving and it's just bedtime.

My favorite days are when my foster mom and I get to go on a long run, especially now that it’s cold outside! When we get back, I have to supervise Grandpa and her work to make sure they do it right and nap at their feet. Once my foster mom is finally done, we can go play outside with my siblings, fetch and chase are the best because I always win. Then we go cuddle on the couch before bedtime and I get lots of scratches.

I am looking for my forever home to make my dreams come true. If you would like to meet me, please contact Animal Allies of Texas. I would love to meet you!

And if you would like to volunteer to save more lives and foster cats or dogs, please go the Animal Allies of Texas website and inquire.  If it wasn’t for the kind lady who sprung me from the shelter, I would not be here to tell my story.  Animal Allies of Texas (AAT) will educate you on what it takes to be a Foster Parent.
